ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

* Primarily over age 55
* Continent of bowel and bladder (must be  capable of toileting self)
* Able to feed self
* Able to move on own or with walker, cane, or wheelchair
* Free of communicable disease
* Able to participate in group activities and to benefit from attending the program

ADMISSIONS PROCEDURES

Your first step is to come and visit Elderday. Caregivers sometimes come on their own or bring their older loved ones with them.

The second step is to schedule an intake interview. This takes about 90 minutes and allows the older adult to join in an activity or two with the other clients and staff. We get to know the prospective attendee, fill out paperwork, and perform assessments for depression and dementia.  The intake interview is paid for by Medicare.
